Future Generali opens new branch in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Limited (FGILI) inaugurated new branch at Kukatpally in the city to increase its footprint.
The insurer has undertaken an expansion plan with the title 'Project Roar', to increase its operational presence in India. The rational for choosing these specific locations to open new offices were based on an assessment done on demographic parameters. At the new branch in the city, the company will recruit 22 employees and 126 distributors from the city. Through 'Project Roar', the company intends to recruit close to 346 employees and 2058 distributors in the current year.
Subhasish Acharya, Executive Vice President and Head - Agency, FGILI, said: "Hyderabad has a huge potential for the untapped insurance regions and it is about time insurers go full throttle in reaching out to its population with innovative and relevant insurance products. With Project Roar, we feel proud to be part of the government's initiative to make insurance products accessible to all".
The company has been focusing on expanding its agency channel by ramping up the recruiting process of new agents and opening new branches in India. The growth in agency channel's new business has increased by 340 per cent while the department has also strengthened its workforce by 130 per cent in three years.
