Social distancing and social trackback via an insurance mobile app
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance (BAGIC) has introduced a 'social trackback' feature in its app 'Caringly Yours', where individuals can keep a digital diary of their interactions during the day.
This feature will help the users to maintain a real-time database of those with whom they have interacted in person. BAGIC said that this will help authorities track the details in case a user has been tested positive for the coronavirus.
It has now been proved that if the contacts of an infected person can be traced and isolated, the spread of the virus can be slowed down.
BAGIC managing director and CEO Tapan Singhel said, “A similar service has also been made available through WhatsApp mode, missed call facility and also a SMS facility in case the customer has any connectivity issues. Customers can easily check their online status for policy issuance and claim settlements along with options for recording customer grievances.”
Mr Singhel said, “Keeping in mind the precautions that need to be taken and especially the COVID-19 safety protocol of ‘social distancing’, we have integrated several digital outreach channels to ensure that our customers get all the insurance support they need at all times.
“Customers need to simply download our ‘Caringly Yours’ app and find answers to their insurance worries there. The app will help customers make a claim, buy a new policy or renew their existing one, change their personal information, or to even locate a nearby network hospital or network garage amongst other offerings. The users’ data shall be private, and only users can share access,” Mr Singhel said.
