Mumbai: COVID-19 Protection Insurance powered by Reliance General Insurance was recently launched by Equitas Small Finance Bank (SFB). Covering COVID-19, in the case of both quarantine and positive diagnosis, this policy is available on group platform to Equitas Bank customers.

The policy offers 100% of the sum-insured in lump sum in case of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and 50% of sum-insured for the 14-day quarantine period, upon testing and isolation at a Government authorised center. Individuals between the age group of 3 months to 60 years can avail the policy, with the sum-insured ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000. The policy is valid for one year with a waiting period of 15 days before one can claim. The policy is being offered at a very reasonably priced premium and can be purchased directly from Equitas Bank’s website.
