Bangladesh:Insurance company CEO fatality from COVID-19
Private life insurer National Life Insurance Company CEO Jamal MA Naser has died of COVID-19. A multifaceted personality he was closely associated with the Bangladesh Insurance Association, Bangladesh Insurance Academy and was a member of various core and sub committees of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority.
Having worked in various senior level positions in a number of life insurers in Bangladesh since 1986, Mr Naser joined National Life in January 2011 as its additional managing director and was appointed CEO of the company in 2012.
He was a popular motivational speaker in the life insurance industry and was also closely associated with international and local experts in the development of microinsurance products in the Bangladesh market. He completed his masters in statistics from Dhaka University and a GCE in computing from London University Board.
