Regulator may sue insurers over rejecting claims
The Central Bank of Ireland is considering taking legal action to resolve standoffs between insurers and businesses over whether the former should settle claims related to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Irish Times reported.
Insurer FBD Holdings PLC's pubs policy, which covers losses where a premises is closed under the orders of a local or government authority in the event of an infectious disease outbreak, is currently at the center of litigation in the country.
