ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. shares gain 1.74% as Sensex rises
Shares of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. traded 1.74 per cent up at Rs 429.3 at 10:46AM (IST) on Wednesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 667.23 points to 36700.29. The stock had closed at Rs 421.95 in the previous session.
The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 537.5 and Rs 221.95, respectively. As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 10:46AM (IST) stood at 10:46AM shares with turnover at Rs 6.56 crore.
At the prevailing price, the stock trades at 58.04 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 7.43 per share and 8.59 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.
A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.14.
Shareholding Details
Promoters held 52.87 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2020, while FIIs owned 13.34 per cent and DIIs 4.72 per cent.
