Currently In Charge of Fire, Engineering, Techno Marketing, Aviation, Broker, Foreign Business, and Marketing Departments and overseeing Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai Regional Office II & III, Delhi and Large Corporate Cells
He is a Member in Head Office Enterprise Risk Management Steering Committee & Reinsurance Commutation Committee
Previous he worked with Tanzindia Assurance Company Ltd – Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania as COO & Managing Director. Tanzindia Assurance Co Ltd was launched on November 24, 2003 at Dar es Salaam as a subsidiary of Kenindia Assurance Co Ltd, Nairobi, Kenya. As the largest insurance Company in East Africa it was natural for Kenindia to open activity in Tanzania and leverage its tremendous goodwill in the area.
Kenindia Assurance Co Ltd is promoted by the Indian Government owned insurance companies, viz Life Insurance Corporation of India, GIC Re, The New India Assurance Co Ltd, National Insurance Co Ltd, Oriental Insurance Co Ltd and United India Insurance Co Ltd. In view of this the management team of Kenindia has senior executives on deputation form the Indian Insurance Companies. What were your stepping stones in career?
My international postings to Aruba [ Dutch Caribbean] & Tanzania had great influence in my career progression. This assignment offered good exposure to international insurance industry management & professional growth managing various industry stakeholders.
My posting as head of New India’s Mumbai Regional Office which handles only large corporates, the who’s who of the Indian Industry, provided me profound knowledge base of intricate policies and how to market and service such covers as well as the delicate art of handling large corporate houses.
Who influenced you the most in your career and why?
Mr. Ratan Tata inspires me the most as he demonstrates the highest level of responsible leadership with profound inner values and outer actions.
Besides being an inspirational leader, he is also a selfless philanthropist.
Your first day at work?
My first day of work was full of enthusiasm and revelation.

When I had a boss who was always wrong!!

To me retirement means doing what you have fun doing.
What’s life post retirement?
I will continue to enjoy working in the insurance industry helping people prior to & post an unfortunate event and at the same time pursue my pastimes – reading and music. Some gardening too – to be closer with mother nature.
