AXA XL announces appointments to Asia & Europe leadership team
As part of the proposed changes to its insurance operating model announced in April, AXA XL Insurance has announced its new Asia & Europe leadership team.
Mr Bruno Laval has been appointed Asia & Europe chief distribution officer and European Markets (Austria & CSEE, Benelux, Iberia, Italy and Nordics) regional manager. Mr. Laval steps into these new roles from his current position as AXA XL Insurance’s regional manager for Europe. He joined AXA XL in 2001 as Iberia country leader, before being promoted to Latin America & Iberia regional manager. He was appointed as France & Southern Europe regional manager in 2016.
Mr Etienne Champion has been appointed Asia & Europe chef underwriting officer subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Champion joined AXA XL in December 2018 as Asia head of underwriting with the company’s Reinsurance business unit. He was previously with AXA Corporate Solutions which he had joined in 2000 and where he held several leadership positions; most recently Asia chief operating officer. He will be based in Dublin.
Also joining the Asia & Europe leadership team are Asia Pacific regional manager Mr Craig Langham, France country manager Mr Julien Guénot, Germany country manager Mr Peter Knaus and Switzerland country manager Mr Manuel Meier.
