Regulatory sandbox projects to reduce the impact of pandemic would be fast tracked
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) will accord priority in processing the regulatory sandbox proposals that seek to reduce the impact of COVID-19, as the regulator accepts applications in the second cohort of regulatory sandbox applications from 15 September 2020 till 14 October 2020.
“In addition to the usual innovative proposals, the Authority would also welcome proposals that may minimise the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals relating to COVID pandemic will be processed on a fast track basis.”
The second cohort of applications for regulatory sandbox projects was announced via a press release issued by IRDAI on 25 August 2020.
The time period for receipt of applications started on 15th September 2020 and will continue till 14 October 2020.
