$7.5 billion of capital to enter reinsurance industry

David Priebe, chairman of U.S.-based reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, predicts that up to $7.5 billion of capital will enter the reinsurance market before next year, Artemis reports.

Around $28 billion of capital entered the insurance and reinsurance industry in recent months, with nearly $15 billion dedicated to the property/casualty and reinsurance sectors, Mr. Priebe said.
