Thomson Thomas CIO of HDFC Life resigns

Mumbai-based Thomson Thomas has left HDFC Life where he has served over 19 years in several leadership positions. Most recently, he was leading the IT vertical at the insurance company as Executive Vice President - Technology as per his LinkedIn profile.

As a CIO he has developed the technology vision and strategy for HDFC Life including digital transformation. He also held the responsibility for the development of corporate standards, technology architecture, technology evaluation and transfer; client relation management, and setting technology with business goals and revenue streams.
He is a seasoned IT leader with demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing cutting-edge information solutions to address business opportunities. Thomas has over 20 years of diversified experience in the IT, Networking & Communication industry. Prior to HDFC Life, he has worked with companies like Hutchison Max Telecom (Currently Vodafone), and Crompton Greaves.
He has accomplished higher education certifications from institutions such as ISB, IIM-A, and Columbia Business School.
Going forward, he has planned to spend a couple of years on sabbatical but will keep learning and exploring new technologies.
