Over $800 million worth of BI claims settled

Data from the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority indicates that local insurers have paid almost £600 million ($823 million) worth of COVID-19 pandemic-related business interruption insurance claims after the High Court’s BI test case ruling in the favor of policyholders, Law360 reported. Around 38% of the 35,438 claimants have received some form of payment from their insurer.
