Kurnool SP distributes insurance cheques to kin of deceased policemen

TIRUPATI: Kurnool district SP Dr Kaginelli Fakeerappa on Saturday distributed insurance cheques to the kin of policemen who died due to various reasons recently.

Kurnool SP said head constable B Bala Sanjanna working at the Chagalamarri police station died while in duty on February 21st this year. Similarly police constables V Sailaja working at the Kurnool II town police station and P Venkateswarulu working at the Nandyal III town police station died in March and February this year due to various reasons.

Dr Kaginelli Fakeerappa distributed insurance cheques valuing Rs.11.71 lakh to the family members of the three deceased police constables on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Kurnool district police wing intensified patrolling at the district headquarters on Saturday to effectively enforce the partial curfew in vogue from 12 noon till 6 am. Kurnool SP appealed to the public not to venture out of their homes unless otherwise it is absolutely essential as Covid-19 cases are still on the rise across the district.
