Generali buys Axa’s Greek business for over $200 million

Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA has completed the acquisition of France-based insurer Axa SA’s property and casualty insurance and life and savings businesses in Greece for a €167 million ($203.6 million), Reinsurance News reported. Panos Dimitriou is appointed as the chief executive of Generali’s Greek insurance entities.
