Insurance group urges small businesses to file their BI claims

The Insurance Council of Australia has invited small businesses to submit their COVID-19 related business interruption claims under eligible policies, following the High Court’s recent rejection of the ICA’s application to appeal a lower court judgment in the first BI test case, Reinsurance News reported. Finalization of the claims may still not take place until a verdict is passed on a second BI test case, which is currently underway in the Federal Court of Australia.
